Over the summer, Rahm quietly announced his intentions to spend $95 million on a massive new training center for Chicago Police and Fire in West Garfield Park, and aims to start construction in early 2018. This is on top of the $4 million dollars per day that CPD already gets. The city’s quiet unveiling suggests they are trying to avoid public scrutiny of this latest spending scheme, but we will not be robbed of our resources quietly. We won't let this happen without a fight.

That’s why For the People Artists Collective, alongside Assata’s Daughters, the People’s Response Team, Kuumba Lynx, Southsiders Organized for Unity and Liberation (SOUL), Love and Protect, and many more have launched the #NoCopAcademy campaign.
